David
G. Arscott |
David
has spent his entire professional career investing in private and
public technology companies. In 1968, he joined the group which
became Citicorp Venture Capital Limited (“CVC”) in New
York. He established CVC's West Coast Office in 1973 which served
as the focus of CVC's investing activities in the western United
States for over 15 years. In 1978, he left to co-found Arscott,
Norton & Associates (“ANA”), which formed three
venture capital funds whose $75 million in capital funded 36 high-technology
companies, including Iomega, Lam Research and Dallas Semiconductor.
In 1988, David formed Compass Management Partners (“CMP”),
which in turn organized Compass Technology Partners and Compass
Technology Group. David’s formative premise for Compass is
that information garnered in the venture capital investment process
has direct applicability in the selection of high-potential publicly-traded
investments.
David earned
his B.A. degree in History and Economics from the College of Wooster
in Wooster, Ohio in 1966, and an MBA, Finance, from the University
of Michigan in 1968. David served as a director of Lam

2011, and he is currently a director of Accelitas, Inc., and Toolwire.
